Tutorial: Adding text in Fireworks
Now we will add some menu choices to our image.
In doing so, you will learn how to add text, to
alter text properties, and to align text.

Adding text to Fireworks images couldn't be easier. All you need to
do is click the Text tool in the toolbar (below). Once you have done
that, click on your document in the spot where you would like to add
your text. The text dialog box will open, allowing you to set various
options for your text.
Once you've got your text looking the way you want it to, click "OK" to set the text into your document.

- Altering text properties
- To change some of the properties related to a text object you have
already made, do one of the following:
- Using the black arrow tool, select your text object by
double-clicking on it. The text properties window will open.
- Using the text tool, highlight the text you want to alter. The
text properties window will open.

text objects before you move on to the alignment section.

Fireworks allows you to align objects with one another. This
allows you to distribute your text objects evenly across your image,
and to make sure they line up with one another.
To do this, select all your text objects by dragging a rectangle
over them or by holding down the CTRL key as you select each of them.
Once you've got your objects selected, follow this progression to find
the alignment menu:
