Burning CDs: Steps

Make sure that the files that you want to burn are on the Mac with the CD burner.

Open the Sony Discribe PPC program under the Apple Menu. Follow the steps below hitting the done button after you make your selection. If you aren't sure on any of these, read the more detailed page and choose which option best works for you. The options below are best for most users, but certainly not all.

  1. The first box is source, choose New Project.
  2. The next box is Image: choose ISO 9660.
  3. The next box is naming: choose auto-naming.
  4. The next box is Source Files: drag and drop your files into the gray area where it lists Track 1.
  5. The next box is record: choose SONY CD-RW CRX160B under Firewire Devices. (If this isn't there - the CD burner plug has been jostled; secure the plug and reboot.)
  6. The next box is write: choose burn CD; and optionally choose finalize CD if you want to close the CD.
