The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida is the largest college on campus, with more than 800 faculty members who teach more than 35,000 students each year. CLAS has 12,000 students pursuing 35 majors and 40 minors through 23 departments, four academic programs and five centers. In addition, the college is home to 32 centers and institutes, including the France-Florida Research Institute, the Center for African Studies and the Land Use and Environmental Change Institute.
